American Hospital Association releases library of vaccine resources

July 29, 2021

The American Hospital Association (AHA) released a library of new COVID-19 vaccination public service announcements and resources for hospital and health systems to adapt and use locally. The resources, online at https://www.aha.org/vaccineconfidence, were created in partnership with the American Medical Association and the American Nurses Association.

The PSAs encourage people to seek the answers they need and ask the questions that will help them understand and become confident in the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. The first PSA addresses the credibility of the vaccination efforts and features AHA Board Chair and CEO of WSHA Member Providence Dr. Rod Hochman. It emphasizes that the vaccines are safe and effective ways to protect you, your family and the community from the virus.

The other PSA features a diverse cross section of people discussing how they reached their own conclusions about getting vaccinated. It is available in 15- and 30-second spots and a Spanish-language version is forthcoming. You can add your own branding to the PSA by contacting AHA Vice President of Digital Strategy Emily Gustafson at egustafson@aha.org.

The AHA’s #MyWhy vaccination campaign is continuing as well, focusing on why those in non-clinical roles chose to get vaccinated. Customizable resources are available on the campaign’s webpage at https://www.aha.org/mywhy.

We hope you will consider sharing these resources with your communities to encourage those who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine to get vaccinated!

Sincerely,

Tim Pfarr
