Cybercriminals are continually targeting information and connected systems in every sector of the economy in attempts to gain access to personal information for financial gain and cause disruption.
Hospitals and health systems remain targets. The American Hospital Assocation (AHA) has launched a special webpage to help hospitals and health systems know how to protect themselves from cybersecurity threats. The page includes a suite of resources, including podcasts on emerging threats, questions for hospital leaders and trustees, and fact sheets. The AHA is also working with federal partners to help disseminate best practices for protecting infrastructure from cyberattacks.
The AHA will also hold special executive briefing session May 2 at its annual membership meetingĀ on cybersecurity questions hospital leaders need to ask. Click here for more information about the 2016 AHA Annual Membership Meeting in Washington, D.C., May 1-4. (Tim Pfarr)
