The American Hospital Association (AHA) has announced the launch of the AHA Innovation Challenge to source and spread new ideas and novel approaches for integrated care delivery and financing models designed for specific high-need, high-cost populations. Teams from AHA member hospitals and health systems are invited to submit their proposals for novel ideas to drive better health outcomes, improve the care experience and reduce the total cost of care. Submissions are due by May 24 through the special challenge website.
The proposals will then be evaluated by a panel of AHA-member judges and sponsors. Three awards funded by First American Healthcare Finance Services, The Roger G. Larson Memorial Endowment and HRET – including a top prize of $100,000 – will be presented at the AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego July 27. (Tim Pfarr)
