Achieving diagnostic excellence: Patients as research partners

The Northwest Safety and Quality Partnership is honored to host the third part of the Diagnostic Errors webinars series provided by Kaiser Permanente from 12 – 1 p.m., May 27. Dr. Kerry Litman, Susie Becken, David Breitstein and Maricruz Arteaga Garavito will discuss the value of patient-family advisors within the healthcare setting to help develop interventions that address diagnostic errors. As part of this discussion, our speakers will share the experience of patient participation in the development of an educational video to increase clinician awareness of diagnostic errors and how to reduce them.
