Governance Education
A WSHA task force met four times in 2008 and 2009 and studied the issues related to governing board education. The task force created a resolution that affirms the autonomy of each hospital in determining what it does in governance education. The resolution, which the WSHA Board of Trustees adoped in May 2009, also encourages hospital to do specific things in this regard.

The WSHA board also passed a policy statement that will guide WSHA in its governance education effors. The policy statement and Task Force Report may be viewed here
