News About Washington Medicaid EHR Incentive Program

The Health Information Program (HIP) is hosting a web cast to provide updates and answer questions about the Washington State Medicaid electronic health record incentive program (EHR) for hospitals.  This program can provide hospitals with funding resources with fewer “strings” than with Medicare’s program.

The web cast is intended for finance, information technology, and others working to achieve payment under this program. 

The presentation will provide the most recent information on qualification, registration, and payment followed by time for attendees to ask questions.  In preparation for the web cast, the Medicaid agency provided answers to some frequent questions regarding program application and the EHR hospital incentive calculation worksheet.  

Please join us for a web conference on Monday, September 12th from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Presenters will be Jim Cannon, Executive Director, Health Information Program and Michael Marchand, Washington State’s Health IT Communications and Engagement Manager.

Feel free to invite others to participate.  Participation is free.  All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and a telephone.

Slides will be available on WSHA’s website the morning of the web cast.

  1. Go to:  http://wsha.webex.com (Note:  there is no “www”.)
  2. Go to “Training Center” tab and locate meeting.  Follow instructions.
  3. Session Password:  ehr (all lower case)
  4. Audio connection information will appear on the screen.  When dialing in, please include your "Attendee ID" code which will appear in the pop-up screen.  If an audio conference pop up screen shows “Use Phone”, click the right arrow key, scroll down to “I will call in” and click on that phrase – the call-in information, access code and attendee ID information will appear for you.
  5. Please use the “mute” button on your phone once you connect, if available.
