Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors Update: What You Need to Know for the Permanent RAC Program.

Don May, Vice-President for Policy for the American Hospital Association (AHA) will join WSHA staff for a webcast on Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs). Hear the latest on what your hospital can expect as the RACs begin operation in our area (currently scheduled for August 2009). The webcast will discuss:

What are we leaning from other states where the permanent RAC program has already begun?
What is different in the permanent program from the RAC demonstration program?
What can your hospital do to be prepared?
What are the tools and resources available through AHA that can be used to track denials and appeals?
