Hospitals and health systems contribute to our communities far beyond their core mission of delivering health care. Hospitals/health systems are a critical segment of our state’s economy. Washington’s 97 hospitals are employers, customers, and taxpayers.

The Hospitals: Essential Community Partners highlights the important role hospitals play in their communities. The materials are designed to help educate legislators and community leaders about hospital and health system operations. Each organization has a unique story to tell. The campaign tells the broader story of hospitals and health systems in Washington State.
