WSHA behavioral health webinar introduces the SBIRT process for alcohol & other drug use

April 15, 2021

April is Alcohol Awareness month. Alcohol and other drug use are serious public health concerns that impact patients and hospitals/health care systems. Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence-based process to identify and provide early intervention for patients engaged in unhealthy drinking and/or other substance use. The April WSHA behavioral health webinar, Introduction to the SBIRT process for Alcohol and other Drug Use in Medical Settings, will introduce the SBIRT process and its application in hospital care settings (e.g., ED, outpatient). This free webinar will take place from 12–1 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Please view the WSHA website for more information or register here.
