February 4, 2016

Overlake Medical Center announced last week plans for Project futureCARE: a $242 million investment to transform health care on King County’s Eastside. The medical center held a groundbreaking to celebrate the first phase of the project: the Overlake Cancer Center, which is slated to open in the second quarter of 2017.

The Cancer Center will improve the patient experience by allowing newly diagnosed cancer patients to remain in one place to receive the best possible technology with compassionate care and a holistic approach. This phase of the project will cost $20 million, meeting the needs of the growing community by offering a unique, patient-centered approach.

Project futureCARE will also build a new tower, a new Childbirth and Mom and Baby Care Center, larger patient rooms and more. Click here to learn more about the project. (Tim Pfarr)
