Preliminary non-CPE Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) applications for state fiscal year 2023 must be submitted to Health Care Authority or before September 1, 2022 to receive consideration for the SFY 2023. The application applies to the state’s low-income and small rural DSH programs. To preserve consideration, hospitals must submit initial DSH applications with basic information by the September 1 deadline. Hospitals have until October 31, 2022 to submit any remaining information. To remain DSH eligible, a hospital must continue to provide non-emergent OB/Gynecology services or be a hospital that was approved historically.
