The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission (NCQAC) has updated its nursing licensure processing methods. During the pandemic, NCQAC has prioritized temporary practice permit applications for nurses, as well as expediting application requests. As of July 1, NCQAC is required to process applications and complete licensure withing seven days of receiving the application. In addition, nurses who began working in Washington as part of the Emergency Volunteer Healthcare Provider program will now need to submit an application for a permanent Washington nursing license, which can be done online.
