Hospitals are making excellent progress in adopting the WSHA-developed standard financial assistance application form and standard communication plan. Approximately 75 percent of WSHA member hospitals are in the process of operationalizing these standard documents.
The WSHA Board of Trustees has urged universal adoption of the application and communication plan, which will position hospitals well to serve their patients and communities. We intend to communicate the results of this process to legislators prior to the next legislative session in January.
