Join us at the 2021 Safety & Quality Leadership Summit

April 15, 2021

One of the most critical roles hospital executives and boards fill is ensuring the safety and quality of their organization and those who work and are cared for there. Prioritizing time to explore topics such as a psychologically safe and just culture has to rise to the top.

The 2021 Safety & Quality Leadership Summit, hosted by WSHA and OAHHS in their Northwest Safety & Quality Partnership, is a must-attend event.

This year’s Summit will be entirely virtual, from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 13. This important event has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of hospital and health system board trustees and commissioners, and executives such as CEOs, CMOs, CNOs and CQOs.

It is my pleasure to share that the Summit will feature keynote speaker and CEO of The Just Culture Company and author of Whack A Mole, David Marx. David will address the role of leadership in creating an environment of psychological safety needed to build a just culture workplace. Drawing upon the contemporary topics of patient safety, COVID-19 and racial/gender discrimination, David will lead a thought-provoking discussion on a path forward for healthcare culture. He will also explore the vital role that governing boards play in ensuring that a culture of safety is a sustainable focus for the organization, and what skills board members need to fulfill their responsibilities for culture change, quality and improvement.

WSHA staff will lead attendees through the five focus areas of shared improvement of the NWSQP: health equity, diagnostic excellence, opioid stewardship, leader resilience and workplace violence.

We are excited to offer an organizational registration option for unlimited access to the entire series for your hospital’s staff and board members for $499. Individual registration is $149. Registration is available online.
