InSight offers perspectives on minority mental health awareness

July 14, 2016

Insight LogoIn support of raising awareness of the specific mental health challenges facing minority populations, Washington Hospital Services Industry Partner InSight shared several bulletins it has written on this topic. The bulletin on African Americans focuses on the negative impact racism has on mental health. The lack of utilization of existing mental health resources is the focus of InSight’s bulletin on Asian Americans. Complexity of cultural experience as well as the lack of access to mental health resources is the focus of InSight’s bulletin on Native Americans.

Its final offering explores Healthier Washington and how the approach that has been taken by the state is one that other states could use as an example to address the complex mental health needs facing our country. To learn more about InSight, please visit our website or contact Paul Unsworth at (206) 577-1806.
