The spectrum of medical therapies to treat COVID-19 continues to evolve and address SARS-CoV-2 variants. On April 29, 2022, the Washington State Department of Health shared a new COVID-19 Therapeutics Alert for health care partners, including a compilation of updated guidance, resources, and treatment availability and authorizations. - HHS moved to weekly threshold top-off versus weekly allocation
- CDC Health Alert Network issued April 25 Health Advisory on updated availability and use of treatments
- FDA expanded remdesivir treatment approval to include pediatric patients
- Paxlovid Should be Considered for All High Risk Covid-19 Patients, as Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir co-packaged with ritonavir) is in ample supply in Washington, available at over 700 sites
