Congratulations to the HEI 2022 LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leaders!

April 7, 2022

The Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) is a “national LGBTQ+ benchmarking tool that evaluates health care facilities’ policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees.” The Human Rights Campaign Foundation awards the “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader” designation to participants who achieve the HEI top score of 100. WSHA is proud to recognize the many Washington and Oregon hospitals and health care facilities that earned the 2022 HEI Leader designation for their work providing gender- and sexuality-affirming care. Read the full HEI 2022 Report and review other resources here. Health care facilities interested in learning more about participation or to get involved can visit the HEI webpage.
