Health Sentinel Network recruitment deadline Aug. 1

The Sentinel Network is currently recruiting volunteer healthcare employers for a project that will help track Washington State’s rapidly changing health workforce. CDC issues updated Zika recommendations for providers

he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on July 25 released updated guidance for health care providers caring for pregnant women with possible exposure to Zika virus. Specifically, the guidance extends to 14 days the timeframe for testing the blood of pregnant women for Zika particles. CMS proposes bundled payment models for cardiac and hip fracture care

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on July 25 proposed a new payment model that would bundle payment to acute care hospitals for heart attack and cardiac bypass surgery services.
