From Stigma to Hope

From Stigma to Hope logoAccording to a recent survey from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, about 20 percent of people ages18 and older reported having an identifiable mental illness in the previous year.

The Washington State Hospital Association is joining KING 5 television and hospitals across the region in a new campaign called "From Stigma to Hope." The goal of the campaign is to help people better understand what mental illness is and to realize that there is hope for recovery and mental "wellness."

Each month a different health care organization shares a story of hope in a series of public service announcements and with interviews on the show New Day Northwest.
