Patient Safety & the Bottom Line

Quality of care is no longer simply a moral issue for hospitals. Adherence to patient safety practices that result in positive patient outcomes now have financial implications. Increasingly government and private insurers are penalizing or rewarding health care institutions based upon performance. The Washington State Hospital Association is working to provide members with the information they need to understand these changes and to make the case for support programs that provide high quality care.
